What does it take to join our Post?

If you are on active duty today, anywhere in the world, have served during any eligible war eras, and are or were a certified law enforcement / corrections officer, you are a eligible to become a Legionnaire in the most unique post in the State of New Hampshire! You don't even need to be a resident of the State of New Hampshire to join us. We welcome anyone from anywhere that meets our qualifications to join our Post.

We are unique veterans just like you, who care about America, our State, veterans and their families and our nation's youth. The Legion is a powerful voice in Washington dedicated to preserving the rights we've all earned - and were promised - by service to our nation in uniform.

We invite you to join us now. Membership brings an impressive array of benefits. The American Legion is always there for you and your family in Washington and nearly 15,000 local posts throughout America and abroad. Unlike regular Legionnaires, we have served, or continue to serve with a unique group of individuals.....

In order to join our post, you must not only meet the basic membership eligibility requirements but you must also have served as a certified law enforcement/correctional officer in either a civilian or military capacity. You must provide, with your application, a copy of your DD214 and a copy of your law enforcement certification.

We Define a Law Enforcement Officer as:

a. Current or past certification as a full or part-time law enforcement officer in this state or other jurisdictions such as states, counties or the federal government, or

b. Current or past certification as a corrections officer or parole/probation officer in this state or other jurisdictions such as states, counties or the federal government
