There were eight members at the meeting on April 29, 2015. Adjutant / Finance Officer Ned Brooks read the previous meeting’s minutes which were approved. Ned also reported $7, 253.84 in the checking account. Service Officer Roger Ball had nothing to report.
Membership: We had a few more members re-up this last month but we’re still hovering just below 90%. Our goal is to reach 100% by the State Convention during the weekend of June 27th. If you have not re-upped yet, please get you dues current before that time.
In the most recent Legion newsletter, the New Hampshire Legionnaire, for May/June 2015, our Post had photos and stories of the two most recent Charron-Legion Awards winners, Nashua Police Officer Jonathan Turcotte and New Hampshire Corrections Officer Adam Bowden.
Ned Brooks forwarded another copy of the badge to the embroidery shop as the shop needed or wanted it forwarded to them via e-mail.
Ned Brooks reports that Past Senior Vice Commander Roger Amadon and friend along with Sgt. at Arms Jim Nye participated with many members from other Legion Posts in replacing the flags on hundreds of Veterans’ graves at the Concord Cemetery. Ned coordinates this meaningful, state wide event each year.
Commander Dave Hargreaves represented the Post at the New Hampshire Law Enforcement Memorial Service on May 22nd in Concord.

Saturday, May, 30th, 2015 at 11:00 PM the annual Memorial Service for fallen Veterans will be held at the New Hampshire Veterans’ Cemetery in Boscawen. If you need transportation, contact the commander.
Saturday, June 6th, 2015, Roadside Cleanup in Epsom, NH. We will meet at Webster Park at the intersection of Rt. 28 and Short Falls Road at 9:00 AM. The rain date is the following day, Sunday at the same time. The more boots on the ground the easier and quicker we accomplish the mission. Make an effort to attend after all, this is the same ground that Jeremy used to patrol.
June 26th through the 28th is the State Legion Convention at the Radisson in Manchester. The New Hampshire Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award will be presented to Rochester Police Officer Keith MacKenzie and a special Heroism Award will be presented to Fremont Officer Dereck Franek at 9:30 AM on Friday June 26th. The convention banquet is the following evening beginning with a social hour at 6:00 PM and dinner at 7:00PM. Let the Adjutant or Commander know if you are interested in attending either or both events.
The next meeting and the installation is Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Police Standards in Concord. Officers should wear a blue blazer, gray slacks, a dress shirt and patriotic tie.
